Great question, Jasmine! Safety is the answer. I have witnessed first hand how terrible motorcycle accidents and automobile-pedestrian collisions can be. We intend for the Apex to be very safe for both occupants and bystanders. We would need to prove this out with crash testing.
Thanks for the heads up, Robert. I’ve actually met with Mr Kronfield, the originator of the RAHT. He’s an interesting guy and has a potentially great product. His product works by pedal power like a bicycle, whereas our concept will not. There are similarities, though, as you are astute to point out.
Hey MaCie’, thanks for your kind words! Ride sharing is certainly an option for after the Apex is in production, but we have to put first things first. In some states a driver’s license will be all that is required to operate, in other states a motorcycle endorsement will be required.
