Kjeld commented on Active-Transportation Responsive Infrastructure

Great question Robert P Tweed
Our system does not track individuals or provide traffic enforcement. We do not record video. All machine vision is processed entirely on the edge and only the resulting optimization data is ever transmitted or saved. We do not detect license plates or otherwise provide any individually identifiable information.

Additionally, the platform does not depend on either connected or autonomous vehicles to function. We optimize existing traffic AND bridge the gap to future connected vehicles.

Jasmine Comer good question. The NoTraffic platform can provide optimization access a really wide range of traffic conditions. Even where total gridlock is a problem, we delay issues with overcapacity and flush traffic more quickly after peaks to minimize impact.

Hi MaCie' Moore thanks for reaching out. Great questions!
1. We do not require changes to infrastructure. Our system lives on top of the legacy traffic signal equipment using wireless edge sensors so installation is quick and easy.
2. We are fully ADA compliant and never shorten pedestrian crossing phases or other basic safety parameters. We can however provide intelligent extensions for pedestrian safety in real-time.
3. A meeting with city officials is always a great start. We would work collaboratively with city engineering or traffic staff on a project. I've reached out on LinkedIn but feel free to contact us through our website or PM me.
