Tesla has concepts for mass transit. Local and Federal governments for years have had concepts as well that have reached ballot proposals that have only ended in voter rejection in spite of the auto industry endorsement for support. I have yet to hear Ford come up with one. I believe the private sector will have to lead the way on this if it is going to happen at all and that is why I believe Ford has a tremendous opportunity to create a mass mobility hub with the MCS being the center of that can reach out from MCS through Detroit and out to the suburbs of Royal Oak, Ann Arbor, Hamtramck, Hazel Park, Auburn Hills, Chelsea and many other suburbs of Detroit. If Tesla is serious about doing this I don't see why Ford cannot lead the way.
