Let's Build a Gondola

Gondolas are a relatively affordable, low-impact option for moving people in topographically challenged cities like Pittsburgh.

Due to its topography and lack of north/south streets that connect multiple neighborhoods, Pittsburgh lacks great north/south public transportation options. A gondola with multiple stops could address this issue beautifully. One idea would be for a gondola system to connect the South Side to the Hill District to the Strip District to Troy Hill thus making access to these neighborhoods easier without needing to own a car.
