I suggest providing a free or low cost bus options with more detailed easier to read and guide bus schedules. The idea is that the bus passes for the participating year would feature artwork by those in the community with special needs. 10% of every bus pass purchased would go to a fund to provide free or low cost bus passes to citizens without transportation who have special needs.

Describe who will use your solution (1,000 characters)

This would impact the lives of special needs citizens that currently have long wait times at doctors offices and therapy appointments. We are not just talking about adults with special needs we are also talking about young children who have parents unable to get them to much needed therapy.

Describe your solution's stage of development

  • Initial Design - you are still exploring the idea and have not tested it with users

Tell us about your team or organization (500 characters)

It's just me- one woman with a big idea!

Size of your team or organization

  • 2-10

Funding Request

  • $25,000

Describe how you would pilot your idea (1000 characters)

Described above- after initial investment- 10% of all bus passes would be designated by the city to fund the free or reduced price bus passes.

Describe how you would measure the success of your pilot (1000 characters)

I would say if we are seeing people actually take advantage of the bus system using the special bus passes, it would be a success.
