The phase 1 of our solution is to utilize drones to move your groceries to locations to you. Places like Brickell and Downtown Miami are our opportunity areas. By doing this thousands of cars will be taken out of the streets.

Describe who will use your solution (1,000 characters)

Thousands of people in the Brickell and Downtown area will use the phase 1 solution. Through the app, (which is in development at this time), people can choose the location of that the food will be delivered from. Ranging from a couple of gallons of milk to your daily fresh vegetables. The food will be delivered in less than 30 minutes. The average drone carries around 12 Kg (26 pounds) which means it can literally carry 4 pizzas plus sodas and extras like Brownies in one round. BENEFITS AND RESEARCH 1. It’s good for the environment. 2. Amazon, UPS, Google and DHL are looking into drone delivery. 3. It will lower greenhouse gas emissions. 4. It will revolutionize the supply chain Industry.

Describe your solution's stage of development

  • Initial Design - you are still exploring the idea and have not tested it with users

Tell us about your team or organization (500 characters)

At this time, our team is only two peoples. Our website is under development at this time. (https://eduardocusido.wixsite.com/horizonlabs).

Size of your team or organization

  • 2-10

Funding Request

  • $50,000

Describe how you would pilot your idea (1000 characters)

Our plan is to make partnerships with groceries companies like Publix and Sedanos, in the downtown and Brickell area. In order to support our growth we plan to expand into other counties like Pembroke Pines and Tampa.

Describe how you would measure the success of your pilot (1000 characters)

We will measure the success of our pilot by the amount of value we provide. Another way to measure our success of our pilot is by the amount we expand yearly.

If I may suggest, couldn't store restocking, rather than those big trucks. Instead a fleet of 24 smartly designed drones be used? If my package is always delivered, when would I need to exercise? Couldn't I just sit on the couch and consuming unhealthy drinks and not better my life?

That’s the thing! We will deliver all our products close to your houses, sort of like a vault and we will send you a code that you have to put in the vault, so we are 100% sure that the package is delivered to the person. Keep in mind that there will be one every couple streets. So you can still exercise, but we can’t do anything about the food though

Ok I was thinking it was going to be too direct to house and thus sadly causing lazy behavior. Except for those that might be under the weather and need the vault brought to hover in front of the door like a automatic mailman/mailwoman. Thanks for clarifying that for me.

No problem! I’d like to add that that’s what companies like UPS are doing, sending it to your homes and making it easier for you to get them, therefore making you lazier and unhealthy

Here is a thought if I'm out in my Fun Buggy, or hover cart. Can you GPS me if I give it the accept response. To the nearest hub for delivery of say a pizza from my favorite restaurant or will I need to be a club member etc. Or at first could it be done as free delivery for the first 3 orders from a store.

Since efficient drones would generally be smaller designs. I was saying couldn't they be for better for smaller delivery and restoring store supplies. Verse a larger-scale piloted version for personal transportation.

Oh! Of course! There are many companies working on the personal transportation side. We are all about moving supplies, objects and things like that.

Thanks so much, I wish you the best. I have gained a lot of knowledge for a 34 year old. So I hope those skills I mention in my profile will be a great help if i'm one of the chosen ideas. Plus the fact I have my actual rough diagrams displayed. :)
