I do not want to own a car in Miami.

I love in downtown Miami. My office is in downtown Miami. I try to rely on public transport options, but seem to end up using uber/Lyft.

I consistently try to use public transportation. On one journey to work which is 1.5 miles away. I attempted to use citibike to get to the metromover. The citibike dock was not working. So I walked to the metromover. Once I arrived a message came over the speakers staintg that the metromover system was experiencing a delay. After 20 minutes of waiting I called an Uber. Most of these issues were fixed when Bird and Lime Scooters were dropped in Miami. Those were reliable(when not raining) Now those are gone and I’m in search of a car that I do not want. So that I can have a reliable Source of transportation.

Well, when it comes to public transport option, biking would be a go-to option since it saves much money since you do not have to pay for gas or tip anyone like in taxis, Ubers, and Lyfts, and sometimes even quicker since you can bike on the sidewalks while rush hour occurs. But, if you do go biking as your choice, just remember to always have a chain and padlock on you always so it is secure while you are inside.
