Be more vigilant on cracking down on drunk drivers, especially on the weekends.

Full description

I had taken my daughter to a concert in downtown Miami. It was a Friday night, and there were severe thunderstorms throughout the show and after the show, so road conditions already were not ideal, but on the way home, I had seen multiple drunk drivers, some suddenly swerving from one lane to another, and one directly next to me that almost drove INTO the left side of my car, as I assume they were thinking they were switching lanes. I think there needs to be more focus on making sure drivers are sober enough to be on the road, and if they are not sober, then offer, advertise, and strongly recommend ride-sharing services such as Uber or Lyft at an affordable or even complimentary rate. I also think there should be more strongly enforced checkpoints on highways, to check for any drunk drivers on the road.

Hi Carole Woods

I’m Wilda, one of the community facilitators. I want to thank you for sharing your story. As a mother myself, my children’s safety is my #1 priority. Drunk drivers costs cities millions. Adding checkpoints might help curb down the traffic.

Thank you you for sharing. Don’t forget to upload a picture of yourself as it makes your story that much more memorable.
