Movilidad Sostenible:

https://www.nbcnews.com/mach/science/ride-sharing-firms-say-they-help-ease-traffic-congestion-new-ncna1003051

Our priority is to reduce significantly the use of cars.

Our proposal creates a service that takes the best of both: Private and Public Transportation. A person shares its journey with colleagues (work) neighbors (home) family or friends who have a similar or same route. They travel safely, on time, without paying for insurance, fuel, maintenance, parking, and especially without the stress caused by traffic, rain, or the eventuality of an accident.

People also take advantage of their time while traveling, or just enjoy it!

People neither leave their car because of environmental awareness nor because of an outstanding public transportation service available.

We need to create incentives ($) so that people is geared toward change.

Travel needs, in a city as complex as this, are hardly resolved in a single transport mode. The multi-modality offers the opportunity to travel according to the type of travel, the frequency of the trip, the distance to travel, the alternative routes available, the cost-benefit associated with the trip, and the comparative advantages.

Companies can strengthen their social responsibility by subsidizing a % of their employees' transportation expenses, and making it easier for them to travel between their homes and work centers.

Enabling a better way of reaching out to work is a social benefit that thousands of people will appreciate.

Social Networks operates successfully in "virtual space" but we have not taken advantage of these relations in territory. Social networks are mainly built on groups interactions, so there is a gap regarding this kind of interaction for practical purposes as  is the case of travel, that is my target. Technology is available, (GPS tracking, mobiles, real time information, etc.) but we need to drive change and reach a "critical mass" size so that this option of multi-modality is real for people. The key is to move in "groups" as it is the case of facebook, whatsapp, linkedin, etc.

Describe quienes utilizarían tu propuesta (1,000 caracteres) // Describe who will use your solution (1,000 characters)

Main users will be people who have a common travel pattern. If you see the daily travel pattern, let´s say riding on "Periferico" at the peak-hour, then you will learn that there are thousands of people who have the same route, and they split to different destinations just on the "last mile". So for the last mile, our proposal is to end the trip on e-motorcycles, bikes, or walking. All modes will be run by us, so that we can be sure of a good management of logistical operation. In a city like this, people is afraid of riding either the subway or buses because of safety issues, sexual harassment, uncomfortability and unpredictable circumstances on operation (subway). Of course owning a car means collapsing traffic for all ,because of inconvenient vehicle occupancy (usually one vehicle/person). So we need a solution and I think it is possible if we share a vision and engage all stakeholders on board. We need to raise Public Awareness amongst enterprises.

Describe cómo usaras los fondos para tu proyecto piloto (1000 caracteres) // Describe how you would pilot your idea (1000 characters)

Pilot-Testing will take, three months. We will need, at least, three months before launching the service. So since getting the funding it will take six months in total to assess preliminary results. We will run the pilot with two clients (enterprises)operating in three routes. Initially we will use our two mini-vans, and buy just one extra mini-van, so the money available to buy the second mini-van will be used instead for initial operation. The team will earn as follows (total for nine months) Project Leader: $200,000 Bikes: $ 75,000 App: $ 75,000 Marketing: $ 50,000 After nine months (six considering service operating) and according to estimated revenues ($ 100,000/Month) we will be able to buy the second mini-van (4 in total) and be able to increase revenues up to $ 200,000/Month. For year 2, estimated revenues are $ 300,000/Month and net profit 30%

Describe cómo medirías el éxito de tu piloto (1000 caracteres) // Describe how you would measure the success of your pilot (1000 characters)

The number of people who has left their car and is using instead our service. The number of enterprises that have lease our service. The cascading effects that our service is provoking. (Public Awareness amongst all stakeholders, especially among local community) The increasing interest in providing this way of traveling as a social security benefit (all of us pay a monthly amount for social security while we use it once or twice a year. This will not be the case for transportation, which is a service we use on a daily basis) Mobility comes just third to crime and informality issues in this city and most cities in Latin America, so providing this service is a top priority. https://noticieros.televisa.com/especiales/problemas-que-proximo-alcalde-ciudad-mexico-debe-enfrentar/

Plan de sostenibilidad (500 caracteres) // Sustainability Plan (500 Characters)

Yes. In year two revenues will double and we will add marketing as a way of increasing revenues. Mobility is a good reason for building "corporate responsibility" so we think more and more enterprises and also government institutions will adhere to our service. Ours is a social service not just a business. Government Institutions (SEDUVI, SEMOVI) should be the first stakeholders to join this initiative. We plan to run services for their employees, at the very initial stage of this proposal.
