Our product is a flying dual mode vehicle capable of being driven and flied manned or unmanned for cargo surveillance, recreation, and eventually for transportation.

Our innovative design has a number of advantages over current commercially available transportation vehicles. First, it effectively addresses the problem of traffic congestion which plagues most cities to some degree, and offers easy access to areas that are hard to reach while using existing roads and infrastructures. Second, the basic design is extremely flexible, and can therefore be used to develop a number of products such as manned or unmanned flying motorcycles and cars.

 Secondly, by having a ground mode, our product can get benefit of current road networks when it turns from aerial mode to ground mode and continue the mission or its trajectory profile on the ground at any No-flight zone, therefore it can deliver the package to the nearest point of interest on the ground and can be loaded safely and easier than other types of air vehicles due to it being a compact transformable design.

Describe who will use your solution (1,000 characters)

Any one can use and operate it from any point A on the ground to any point B on the ground within the range of Aiko. It works for manned or unmanned missions. It can carry up to 250 Lb of payload. If someone may prefers to ride or the other prefer to manage Aiko using a mobile application for calling a service or asking for a ride. The vehicle can be controlled manual or autonomous. The central computer will calculate the distance from the destination and give the user an optimal path to the destination. The vehicle automatically takes off from point A and after passing its predefined airway by making precise maneuvers , it descend and land in point B.

We have successfully demonstrated various modes of operation of the vehicle by building a 1:5 scaled prototype. we envision a broad IP portfolio that starts with our current patent application for the vehicle and grow to cover the AI based software and advanced algorithms for vehicle management system.

We have assembled a highly qualified team with the necessary background in engineering, business and product development. Ali is a graduate student in NYU and My co-founder has master and doctoral degree in aerospace and mechanical engineering from top US schools.

Describe how you would pilot your idea (1000 characters)

We hire a pilot to control the vehicle from the safe position on the ground remotely. Once we get positive results then we ask the pilot to ride and fly the vehicle in a safe zone to check all its functionalities. At first step, we use our product for unmanned package deliveries. At the second step, Aiko can be used by Federal and public agencies like Police and Fire department. Next level, any people can ride the vehicle.

Describe how you would measure the success of your pilot (1000 characters)

Our innovative design has a number of advantages over current competitors from companies like Uber ,Amazon or Google who have recently got FAA approval for starting drone package delivery. UPS is also seeking FAA approval for deliveries. Although, nowadays a last mile delivery is not a big deal but a fast, cheap and an easy to use autonomous vehicle for deliveries is not accessible yet. Traveling in large cities is a time consuming especially for longer distances. A faster and more personalized transportation vehicle which fit with current transport infrastructures is needed. In many transporting scenarios it is favorable to have a modular vehicle with both air and ground modes. Other companies are working on single mode flying vehicles. Indeed, many of those products are focused mostly on having the wing in the body which makes their design not suitable for space limitation in urban places.
