Electric flying car with vertical taking off and landing (VTOL) capability from and to anywhere without a runway

eVinh is an electric flying car that can take off and land vertically like a helicopter and can fly for 150 miles before recharging.

eVinh is developing an electric flying car.  For the convenience of our riders, our flying car can take off from and land at anywhere without requiring a runway just like a helicopter.  Our riders will be transported up to 150 miles before recharging our battery.

eVinh can be autonomous so riders do not need to get a flying license.

Describe who will use your solution (1,000 characters)

Anyone can use our eVinh flying car. The rider just hops on our eVinh flying car and tells eVinh where to go. eVinh then transports the rider to the destination. The rider does not need to have any licenses.

Describe your solution's stage of development

  • Initial Design - you are still exploring the idea and have not tested it with users

Insights from previous testing (500 characters)

Yes, we have tested the idea. We have a drone with vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capability like a helicopter and it can fly forward like an airplane. Here is our video that demonstrates the idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUXn5QoyxJ4

Tell us about your team or organization (500 characters)

Currently we have 3 employees. Here is our website: https://evinh.com/ and the team https://evinh.com/team

Size of your team or organization

  • 2-10

Funding Request

  • $100,000

Rough Budget (500 characters)

Mainly we use the budget to purchase materials to build our prototype. The next prototype will be able to carry a load of a human weight of about 200lbs.

Describe how you would pilot your idea (1000 characters)

Again we use the funding exclusively to purchase necessary materials to build real flying prototype.

Describe how you would measure the success of your pilot (1000 characters)

If our flying car can lift up vertically with a payload of 200lbs, then it's a success. Furthermore, if it can fly forward for a few miles and/or sustain on the air for more than 30 minutes, it will be a wonderful accomplishment.

Sustainability Plan (500 characters)

We probably need further funding to build and manufacture our flying car prototype.

Your idea reminds me of the Jetsons. There's much less traffic in the sky then on the ground. Imagine flying to the grocery, movies or to work....that will be nice!....to the future!

Thank you, Elizabeth for your recognition. Our flying car idea seems getting closer to reality.
Back in 1903, the Wright brothers could fly one person for a few seconds, but now an airplane can carry a few hundred passengers and fly for a few thousand miles.

Yes, Vinh that's true for now but it won't be long. Your idea is needed in places like California and Austin TX, were the traffic is so thick the highway is a parking lot everyday. To the future and beyond.
