1oT provides global cellular (2G, 3G, 4G, Cat-M1, NB-IoT) connectivity and management to IoT service providers, specializing in connected mobility solutions such as eScooters, connected bike manufacturers, or public transit companies, by acting as an aggregator of many carrier services. 1oT provides its clients with one invoice, one connectivity management platform, and one eSIM/SIM solution, helping clients to drive their business globally with one end-to-end connectivity solution. As 1oT is carrier independent we use the best mobile carrier for the specific deployment, meaning that we can launch with AT&T  and later change to Sprint, Verizon, or any other carrier, through our eSIM, if the connectivity needs change over time or if the quality of the network in your city necessitates a change.

In addition to 1oT’s connectivity services, we have developed an end-to-end IoT connectivity platform, called 1oT Terminal, for clients to control their SIMs & eSIM via a self-service user interface. The platform comes with many value-added services such as API, reporting, diagnostics, and much more. We are developing more analytical facing elements to our platform such as artificial intelligence and machine learning features to help our customers to get the best possible optimization for their eSIM cards and to support their mobility projects with real-time information and tools to enhance their deployment. Through this, 1oT facilitates the connectivity needs of service providers and acts as a bridge to completely support their device deployments with our strong competencies in hardware support and platform development.

Our solution is utilized by smart city solution providers to optimize their connectivity and manage their carrier subscriptions with ease. Through working closely with multiple carriers we are able to get the best connectivity solution for deployments and allow our clients to focus on their own product rather than negotiate and troubleshoot with multiple carriers. In essence, we are their connectivity department. By focusing on connectivity for the deployment we are able to take on all the troubleshooting and support the hardware selection process to ensure that devices are properly optimized to work and stay connected. Our platform, coupled with the connectivity we provide, is tailored for mobility solution providers an enables enhanced visibility into the analytics of devices, providing crucial information such as real-time location and movement patterns which can be used to effectively plan traffic flow management and other essential optimization tools for the mobility sector.

We work with Ridango (, specializing in public transport connectivity management, facilitating their transport optimization and traffic analysis. Additionally, we have enabled deployments for top market players, including four-letter companies based in the US, in the connected mobility and eScooter sharing industry, allowing them to deploy around the world. From these cases, we have tailored our platform to address the challenges related to the connected mobility industry.

1oT (, part of Mobi Solutions group, has a team of 20 specialists with strong competencies in telecommunications and development, with backgrounds from Idemia and many successful telecom startups. Mobi Solutions group companies were a key developer of the original Skype mobile application (via Mobi Lab). They have also launched the carrier billing service Fortumo, (backed by Intel Capital), and Messente, the critical business SMS platform service global clients.

Rough Budget (500 characters)

We would use our budget to develop new features and functionality on our platform that supports the analytical and connectivity management requirements of the project to create a customized public transportation connectivity management platform. In addition, the budget would go towards supporting the costs of the 1oT employees who would be dedicated to the project, as well as the development hours needed to build integrations with required 3rd party tools and hardware providers.

Describe how you would pilot your idea (1000 characters)

During the pilot phase, a core focus will be on integrating services based on the connectivity requirements of the project combined with the hardware selection and analytical elements. The focus would be on modifying the analytical foundations of the platform and fine-tuning it for use in Indianapolis. From an analytical point of view, we would establish the management flow and optimize the connection between hardware components, connectivity requirements, and the analytics that is built into our platform. During the pilot phase, we will also gather feedback on all of these combined elements (connectivity, hardware, & analytics) to ensure that all the different pieces are functioning seamlessly. The resources, both internal and from the Challenge fund, would go towards the process of creating synergy between all three areas to address the connectivity, hardware selection, and analytics and to continue building upon the services as required.

Describe how you would measure the success of your pilot (1000 characters)

For 1oT, a successful pilot phase would be one where we have established the best connectivity solution, collaborated on hardware selection, and built upon the analytical foundations of our platform with the required functionalities for the deployment in Indianapolis. Based on the feedback from the transport provider in Indianapolis we would explore the opportunity of expanding the deployment to other parts of the city, or other regions. We would measure the success of the pilot phase by reviewing the synergy between the connectivity, hardware, and analytical elements of the pilot. A heavy focus would be placed on the progress and functionality of the analytical tools in our platform. Based on gathered feedback from the transportation services who use the platform, we would further modify the platform during the pilot phase to establish a constructive feedback loop allowing 1oT to continuously improve on the connectivity services and platform offering.

Sustainability Plan (500 characters)

Our project plan would be sustainable after the pilot phase since we would apply the same concept that we currently apply for our public transport and connected mobility fields. This allows us to extend the project from a pilot phase to a long term and sustainable project for managing public transport services. This model can be applied to multiple cities or other parts of Indianapolis to address the connectivity and analytical needs of public transit systems in different areas.
