Mobility is Everything

I come from a different city, so being up here, I didn't know anyone. Being able to drive lets me connect to my new friends and family.

I drive everywhere, from my job that I hate, to my job that I love, to school, to see my friends and family. The transportation challenges in Indianapolis restrict me from travelling sometimes - I can't afford the gas it takes to travel when traffic is horrible and construction is going on, and I can't afford the maintenance I have to do to my car when the horrible roads messes all my systems up.

Hi Alexis McCown , I'm Jasmine one of the online facilitators for this year's challenge. Thanks so much for your contribution! And I truly can relate needing to get around to see family: I have a brother who lives on the far northeast side of the city, while my dad lives on the far southwest side. I know taking buses to visit can truly be a journey. Are there any challenges you face that could be fixed or improved that would also help others in your area or situations similar to yours?

Hey Alexis McCown , this is MaCie' your facilitator here! Thank you for participating in the challenge! Do you want to use public transit? If so, what are your barriers to utilizing public transit?
