I think that possibly offering a reward or incentive for walking or taking public transportation would definitely help to sway people to take part in these kinds of activities. Whether it be allowing people to gain points and redeem them for a gift card for the downtown area or offering discounts, I think it may help people make the choice to walk or take public transportation.

Describe who will use your solution (1,000 characters)

I think most people who have the ability to walk to work or walk to area restaurants or attractions would use this.

Describe your solution's stage of development

Hi Caitlin! I'm glad that you've proposed a project to encourage more walking and biking. Can you fill in the rest of the proposal form and add a photo to the proposal? A couple of other similar proposals have been posted. You might take a look at annie young 's proposal to expand the mygrcitypoints program: https://challenges.cityoftomorrow.com/goto/challenge/grand-rapids/expanding-mygrcitypoints-com. You can support her and her proposal by commenting and clicking on the Applaud/Heart icon.
