Our service will be fun, easy and FREE.

We will use electric cars to cut out the cost of fuel and hopefully work with some great advertising partners to make the service even more fun!

Describe who will use your solution (1,000 characters)

Residents and visitors alike will have access to this convenient, fun, and free service downtown. Whether it's getting you to/from your daily bus stop, getting you to/from work, or cruising around the streets of downtown looking for a bite to eat, we will get you there, FREE! We will have an easy to use app (similar to Uber/Lyft) but with smaller, more focused areas (think Jimmy John's delivery radius) to keep the rides quick, efficient, and readily available to all. We are looking for advertising partners to promote their business or product on & in the vehicle to create a unique, custom, user experience. We will have the unique ability to provide samples of the product to users as soon as they see the vehicle.

Describe your solution's stage of development

  • Initial Design - you are still exploring the idea and have not tested it with users
  • Prototype - you have built a prototype and tested it with potential users

Tell us about your team or organization (500 characters)

We are looking forward to bringing on a wonderful team of drivers and technicians to help expand and maintain the service 7 days a week.

Size of your team or organization

  • 2-10

Funding Request

  • $100,000

Describe how you would pilot your idea (1000 characters)

We plan to purchase 2-4 vehicles to start and hope to partner with The City of Grand Rapids, MobileGR, DGRI, and The DDA to connect to some of their current bus routes for many more residents.

Describe how you would measure the success of your pilot (1000 characters)

Success will be fully dependent on ridership & usage. If enough people are using the service, it will be deemed successful.

Have you considered the insurance costs for this? Michigan is the least friendly state when it comes to cost. Other states may be more friendly, but in Michigan, this can run a high 5 to low 6 figures.
