42% of all vehicles doing transportation of freight is empty haul and especially backhaul is a major problem in the industry. DLIVER will increase efficiency in transportation of goods by connecting customer demand digitally with unused freight capacity and vehicles. We will also activate new types of vehicles and fleets which are not in use today because of inflexibility and lack of transparency. We will embrace and integrate all new technology including autonomy, robots, new or reduced packaging, tracking, security, bundling and routing to change transportation of goods to have less impact and reduce CO2. There is huge potential and we will do what we can to make it happen.

The lack of efficiency and transparency combined with increased demand for CO2 reduction requires new solutions like DLIVER. Our customers value our service because we save them time and money, creating efficiency in a fragmented industry with many players. DLIVER creates a standardized fully open platform for booking, selection, payment, insurance, transport management, tracking across all suppliers and all by demand and in a smart mobile solution.

DLIVER is an open platform where the customer is in focus and where the optimal supply is presented for the customer to take easy decision based on their priorities wether it is price, time, quality, reputation, services or maybe even CO2 impact. We have a very competitive business model focusing on volume transactions and with very little human interactivity. Our go-to-market strategy is in phase 1 to conquer selected industries by providing a free tool and platform which creates immediate a win win situation. As an example we are steadily growing in the autospareparts industry by onboarding vehicles, suppliers and customers in the supply chain in Denmark which is our home market. We are highly focused on development of different and focused solutions which serves different industries but all operating in the same platform and kernel.

How will your solution benefit residents, workers, or visitors in the Michigan Central Station impact area? (1,000 characters)

The result should be improved efficiency through better utilization, new business, reduce fleet, save fuel time and money, significantly reduce CO2 footprint, make use of outsourcing and a more flexible capacity, create improved customer service and delivery on demand, embrace new delivery methods, capacity and greener vehicles, solving urban last-mile issues to end customers. We will use data and AI to create new improved patterns and therefor we will start DLIVER.AI as a specific department focusing on complex industry solutions using algorithms and data mining. DLIVER.AI is a joint venture with a Tel Aviv based company which is being formalized in a subsidiary. Besides that we have a lot of new customers like eBay, Interflora e.g. where we are right now making specific solutions to get started Q1 2020. All in all we are on the right path to succeed.

Insights from previous testing (500 characters)

We have already customers rolling out our service to more and more regions within the autospare parts industry through FTZ, Volkswagen Group, Audi, Seat, Skoda. We are in negotiations with a large brewery group which we use DLIVER to utilize their own fleet of distribution trucks WW in whole new ways.

Tell us about your team or organization (500 characters)

Our team consists of very different people with different nationalities and background. We work very organic and with partners in Vietnam, India, Germany, Singapore, Israel, Czech Republic and of course Denmark. Even if we are a relatively little company I'm proud that we already have different age groups, races, gender, religion in our team all working together crisscrossing. Our philosophy is not to focus on background or even education, but skills, competencies and experience.

Rough Budget (500 characters)

1. Travel expenses / Accommodation (10%) 2. Setting up a local support team (15%) 3. Localization of applications and platform (5%) 4. Dedicated team to startup (40%) 5. Local marketing activities / campaign (15%) 6. Onboarding of users, customers and Pilots (drivers) in local area (15%)

Describe how you would pilot your idea (1000 characters)

Our team will visit and on-board local business' within retail, wholesale, industry and service. We will communicate our solution and the benefits to individuals and companies because we have a broad appeal. We will try to find some local growth hacks where we can create success both on the demand (shippers) and supply side (Pilots). We will setup events and communicate through local community, partners and medias as well as social media, maybe even with activation of influencers who has dedicated followers in the local area.

Describe how you would measure the success of your pilot (1000 characters)

The number of transactions is an obvious success factor. We will also try to document our impact on the environment, the CO2 reduction as well as the overall economy and efficiency created through better utilization, transparency and digitization of transport. All the benefits of an open peer-to-peer software platform with no barriers and connecting demand and supply dynamically will hopefully show its value.

Sustainability Plan (500 characters)

Our platform doesn't need ongoing investments or a lot of ressources as soon as the platform is spread to a critical mass where there is a basis for continuous growth in the number of users and transport services. The cost for maintenance and support can be kept at a relatively low level and therefore all costs are highly reversible. We can continuously adjust costs, manpower and investment to achieve lasting benefits and a platform that has come to stay.

Nicolai Wulff Jensen Thank you for sharing this proposal! I am a Michigan Central Station Challenge facilitator. It sounds like your solution is a great way to optimize delivery of goods while minimizing vehicle emissions! How do you think that this solution would fit into our impact area in Detroit and what opportunity area do you think that this challenge would best address? I look forward to hearing more specifics!

Opportunity Areas:
Improve Access to Mobility Information
Make Mobility More Affordable
Build an Inviting Environment
Connect People, Places, and Opportunities
