Propose

How might we improve mobility for residents, workers, and visitors of the Michigan Central Station Impact Area today while also preparing for the future of the area?

Submit your proposals for improving the way people move around the Michigan Central Station Impact Area for a chance to win up to $250k to bring your ideas to life. We are accepting proposals until October 31, 2019.

Through your comments and our research during the Explore phase, we identified the above "How Might We" question as our overarching Challenge Question. Within this question, we also identified the four Opportunity Areas to the right, which are the categories of proposals we are looking for; if your proposal doesn't fall under one, don't worry! That's why there's an "Other."

Solutions may take many forms, from innovations in technology and services, to innovative street and infrastructure designs. We’d love to see your proposals, no matter what form they take!

To submit a proposal, click the "Add your idea" button below, create an account (if you haven't already), fill out the proposal form, and click "Save and Publish" at the end of the form. Please note that once you "Save and Publish" your application, it will be made public along with the contributions below. Once you have published your proposal, you may still edit it through the application deadline.

Please read the Challenge Brief and Rules for additional information on the Opportunity Areas, how the selection process works, and how the prize money will be used. Be sure to also check our Evaluation Criteria for details on how your proposals will be evaluated.

If you'd like a deep-dive into our research synthesis from the Explore phase, view our Michigan Central Station Challenge Report here.

If you need a place to start, you can find some useful Supplemental Resources at the end of the Challenge Brief.
