The roots to this problem is originated in the extensive distances most people have to cover in order to get to work and back home, every day, which represents most of the daily vehicular flow.

It consists in relocating peoples’ domiciles through the application, getting them closer to their working places, thus causing a significant change in the quality of their everyday lives. The benefits are enormous.

Our main objective is to eliminate the long distances people have to run on daily bases when going to work and getting back home. The solution is to relocate their domiciles and move them closer to their working areas, or move to a working area closer to home, obtaining additional hours to be used in other activities that may improve their quality of life.

How will your solution benefit residents, workers, or visitors in the Michigan Central Station impact area? (1,000 characters)

This application may be used by anybody, with no exception.

Thanks for your proposal Omar Barajas . I am part of the facilitation team at City:One. Just letting you know that the video is not working.
I have read the attachment, and do have a question. Detroit's housing market prices/availability varies drastically from neighborhood to neighborhood. The quality and shape of the homes are also vastly different. How would you address this difference? Would Detroiters, could Detroiters, use this app? Would people want to move from the suburbs into the city for work? And vice versa?

Hi Boratha,
Yes, of course we think about it.
The application has filters that only connect people with properties of similar characteristics.
In addition, the second phase of the application allows you to work exchange, also you have filters that select jobs of similar characteristics.
The objective of any of the two options allows you to live a few steps from your work.
the explanation regarding one of the phases of this application. And I’m talking about the option where big corporations with multiple branches are involved.
In order to make it simple, I decided to use one of them as an example, and develop, step by step, the necessary mechanism to achieve the employees exchange between branches from the same corporation, relocating them near their homes.

First, the amount of staff these big corporations hire is overwhelming. And, secondly, when somebody is looking for a job, this person doesn’t have much choice as to which branch he or she would like to work at.
When they get the job, they take it, not minding where the branch is located. Ironically, in multiple cases, there is a branch located a few blocks away from their homes.
This application allows two employees from different branches of the same corporation to connect and have access to the department of human resources of the company in order to perform the exchange that will provide them with a mutual benefit.
Through these filters, the application puts in contact employees with similar characteristics regarding the jobs they have.
Can you imagine the amount of people we could relocate close to their jobs through this application, counting with the help of the companies that hires them? Convenience stores, restaurants, cafeterias, outlet stores, drugstores… the list is big.
The benefits will not only favor the employees in a direct manner, but the big companies too, for they will count with more efficient and less stressed staff, for they no longer have to move long distances from home to work, twice a day.
