Giving personalized, dignified transportation to people with disabilities, aged community, differently-abled people, and non-emergency patients. With the help of our tech-driven, wheelchair adaptable vehicles(WAV) and medically trained drivers, we plan to give transportation to differently-abled people, veterans, senior people, people with disabilities and non-emergency patients in the Impact Area.

We at Hippo have noted that for a long time people with disabilities and people needing assistance have not been able to fulfill their potential due to lack of practical support. We firmly believe that unless each and every citizen reaches their full potential, our world will never progress. Therefore by introducing our service here, we would like to offer this neglected and marginalized part of the society with safe, affordable, on-time, comfortable, dignified and individual transportation to their workplaces, educational institutions, clinics, market-places, hospitals, recreational establishments, different care-facilities, homes, etc.

How will your solution benefit residents, workers, or visitors in the Michigan Central Station impact area? (1,000 characters)

Our customized-individual and dignified transportation service will be for people with different abilities, people with disabilities, senior people and non-emergency patients of the Impact area. Our service will provide these marginalized and vulnerable people with the freedom to travel freely, as per their convenience and intentions. This will, in turn, enable them to have economic empowerment, give them accessibility to every place and ensure a better quality of life. Our service will have the following features - Our rides will be individual and personalized - All our vehicles will accommodate one wheelchair, one stretcher, with 4 passengers and a driver. - All vehicles will come with fitted Oxygen on board, disposable blankets, and hand-sanitizers. - All vehicles will have Artificial External Defibrillators (AED) on board. - All the vehicles will have wearable devices for vulnerable passengers to record their body temperature, heartbeat, BP, SpO2 & other parameters.

Thank you for submitting Hippo Care's proposal Samit Kumar Biswas ! I work in the facilitation team at City:One. Just wondering if you know about the Ford Fund's GoRide services in Dearborn. Ford has shuttled people to and from the hospital for non-emergency appointments. Probably a good idea to check them out, and potentially see if there can be some collaboration there. Glad to see that the UK has positive experiences with Hippo Care! I was wondering how you can reach out to lower income families who are not in nursing homes...

Hi Tan
Could you please share some more details about them. We work on an asset-light model. If Ford can support us - we can make these services affordable for all people across the society.
