It empowers the community to help each other to overcome daily travel obstacles by crowd-sourcing real time accessibility information via gamification.

CityMaaS aspires to become the singular point of access for all accessible travel information.  Our platform enables the community to help themselves and reward each other and uses AI to optimise and personalise the travel experience.

By reducing barriers to travel and making digital interaction natural, CityMaas gives confidence to disabled and older people to use public and private transportation to go to work, school or leisure activities and contribute to their wellbeing, leading to a healthier future society.

The video above explains a user journey. CityMaaS solution is a user-centric solution for ever ageing population. Travel is one of the most important parts of daily life, but one of the most challenging parts, especially for people with limited mobility. Nearly 1 in 5 Americans rely on accessible transportation infrastructure for daily travel . On average it takes them 2.5 times longer to get from A to B due to the lack of appropriate infrastructure and real time accessibility information. Accessible travel is inefficient and in some cases non-existent, which leads to higher unemployment and social isolation. In order to address this problem with a scalable digital solution, we must ensure digital engagement is possible and maximised for people with impairments. Inclusive design benefits all! CityMaaS solution does not only benefiting disabled people but also visitors with heavy luggages, professionals required carrying heavy equipments. It helps to achieve inclusive travel.

We have conducted extensive user/market research including desktop and literature reviews, interviews, contextual enquiries, user need testing and a pilot study via innovation vouchers with Brunel University to collect pilot data to support the need for addressing the challenge. Our solution addresses: ● Lack of travel confidence leading to dependent living, unemployment, social isolation ● Inefficient accessible travel - first mile to last mile ● Lack of real-time accessibility information

We have signed the memorandum of understanding with the university and will sign the collaboration contract with the relevant students and lecturers imminently. We aim to offer full time positions to these students following successful completion of this project. We have $40,000 computing and clouds credits as graduates of the Microsoft AI for Good Programme and London & Partners Business Growth Programme. These will be allocated to this project so we have not had to include any server server and machine learning overheads.

Describe how you would measure the success of your pilot (1000 characters)

CityMaaS management is required to ensure that the KPIs in the organisation are reviewed and further developed according to the organisation’s goals, strategy and growth state. CityMaaS is following the OMTM (One Metrics That Matters) in the sense of the Lean Start-up-Approach. We have internal KPI policy document and KPI indicator sheet includes the important success KPI on various different stages fo the company. The relevant matrix for this pilot programme will be: Minimum viable product (MVP) validation (Amplification), Generating attention / channel development (Net Promoter Score), Ongoing feature development (Saved time per customer/Travel Anxiety/App rating/Monthly usage), Engagement (Active users/churn rate/burn rate/cost of acquisition etc) and Business model Validation.

Sustainability Plan (500 characters)

Post the pilot programme, CityMaaS Assist will be developed & rolled out to further beta testing and commercialised at the end of 2020. It has comprehensive 3 year financial plans to take the business through build stage. Using a unit model approach, we plan to roll our product city by city. Our initial investment requirement is £535,000, which takes us to roll-out of all aspects CityMaaS Assist. We have secured $50,000 from Sente & Avis Budget Group in addition to a global investor pipeline.
