A second option to travel. Rentable and roofed, with health boosting potential.

Take a motorized wheelchair, redesign it. Give it a roof and lifting doors, 1-4 swiveling seats. And the ability to optionally pedal around.

Let's take a look at our handicapped population. How many bicycles actually are profitable to help them get more exercise and be healthy? What scooters are there that they could even ride without feeling like they will fall off? Are there any engenius and fun ways to get around for people who have those conditions? If not let's take the time to design a four-wheeled go kart with a roof with a clean and comfortable design a comfortable chair that can swivel to allow ease of access and side panels to allow the person to get into it very easy and feel free and comfortable getting exercise again. Whether they are 170 lb and have cerebral Ataxia or are weighing in at 500 pounds and need help getting places.

How will your solution benefit residents, workers, or visitors in the Michigan Central Station impact area? (1,000 characters)

My solution can be used by almost anyone. From the granny that needs to get some additional exercise going to the store in a safe and comfortable vehicle. But perhaps she does not have a license anymore but can still cycle and can see around her surroundings and is aware of them. Also for those that want to get around the block a little easier with a new type of 12 speed cycle that they stay sitting in and has a roof and sides in case it should start raining or snowing. This unit could also be used after something like a surgery where someone could not operate a heavy machine but they could use a light simple Transportation unit or for someone who had cancer and needed the extra joy of getting around.

Describe your solution's stage of development

  • Initial Design - you are still exploring the idea and have not tested it with users

Tell us about your team or organization (500 characters)

Right now I'm looking for a team.

Size of your team or organization

  • I am submitting as an individual

Are you submitting as a student team?

  • No

Are you submitting as a team from the Impact Area?

  • No

Funding Request

  • $150,000

Rough Budget (500 characters)

$700 or less new for an AIO or tablet repair. $9.99 business cards. $30,000 for a small studio $3000or less on tools. Remaining $40,000+ funds for raw materials

Describe how you would pilot your idea (1000 characters)

I would make business cards and a website. Establish a line to the office/studio that i would work from. Get materials for a prototype for myself. Use it to get more local materials and make the prototype better. Order any other materials from a USA based site. But out a request for proformance testers and whatever needed personal was required. Also make a locking dock while making the units.

Describe how you would measure the success of your pilot (1000 characters)

How fun is it? Are you enjoying driving more compared to a standard car ride? How is the saved money helping you? How often is it rented?

Sustainability Plan (500 characters)

With a rental plan at first with a smart cash to travel established for 3 Months. If population update my website with a buying option.

Robert P Tweed Thank you for posting this proposal! It is good to hear from you! It sounds like the main objectives of this product would be comfort, fun, convenience, and access to exercise for people who are not able to use the current options that are available, is that correct? Would this product be designed to be operated on streets or sidewalks? How far would this product be designed to go? What do you think would be the main goals for people who rent them? Look forward to hearing from you!

Since it is something I myself with a Cerebral Attaxia, would be able to use. It would first be scaled for sidewalk, but with four individuals shock so if the sidewalk disappeared from were it should be youcould keep travelling safely. Yes my options would give those that need assistance to walk a more fluid system of getting places. And enjoying it while they went to the store. To be honest with a drive system that runs on a cyclist moton or a battery pack. With systems in place i would say its almost limitless. Main goals that would be observable would range from: Saving travel expenses, exercise, design and enjoyment. To name a few. Let me know if i missed anything. And thank you.
