Innovation has and will continue to add transportation options to the mobility ecosystem, but more isn’t necessarily better. MCS planning efforts should prioritize improving non-motorized transportation first and then integrate new mobility options around DDOT.  Bus transportation is the most efficient form of mass transit, so DDOT should be the backbone of the MCS mobility ecosystem and all other mobility options should compliment it and fill in the gaps.

LeRoy Taylor III  Hi LeRoy! Thank you for posting! I am a Michigan Central Station Challenge facilitator. I am interested to here more about your idea of prioritizing non-motorized transportation first. What have you observed about non-motorized transportation in Detroit currently, and what do you think is more important to improve first? I know that there are a lot of areas for improvement, so I'd love to hear your thoughts!
