Urbec is a rethink of the way the public transportation works in the present, what we want is to have less impact in the environment, that the users feel more comfortable and to have more efficiency in terms of the routes that the people need to get to their destination.

We are going to achieve these tasks with an electro-solar van specially designed for the handicap, children and women comfort that all the people can use as well and plan the routes trough an application where the users can fix the pickup point and the hour where they need the service.

Describe who will use your solution (1,000 characters)

The unit is designed for a total occupancy of 15 people, 10 seated and 5 standing. Its distribution is especially thought for people with physical limitations so they can use it on their own. The business model where the van is going to operate it's going to help people to have a personalized service where they can choose how to be transported and the route they want, this could work for civilians and the companies as well, as they can organize a route that picks their workers at their home and take them to the offices.

Describe your solution's stage of development

  • Initial Design - you are still exploring the idea and have not tested it with users

Tell us about your team or organization (500 characters)

Our team is compound with several people that are experts in the electro-mobility area with experience in the development of vehicles for the industry and competences. We have product design engineers, physicist engineers, economists, mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers.

Size of your team or organization

  • 2-10

Funding Request

  • $100,000

Rough budget (500 characters)

The capital delivered will be invested in the purchase of system components, work tools, process outsourcing and the hiring of additional personnel required. In essence, the development is divided into three subsystems. Everything that forms the traction system. The storage system, The command, and the control system. Additional costs as personnel and outsourcing of processes beyond our possibility as part manufacturing and component manufacturing approx. $ 60,000
