Sociali is a ride sharing app and platform.  It can be instantly used by any community of people, such as schools, businesses, senior centers,  kids activity centers, companies and day cares. It is for everyone (kids, college students, adults, seniors, disabled, professionals).

Key features of the app and platform:

  • Allows ride sharing with better utilization of existing vehicles

Sociali provides an easy,  alternate transportation option for multiple types of vehicles (car, bus, van, etc). It allows using the existing idle vehicles of the community for shared transportation, thereby reducing the size of fleets needed for school and event transport. Thus 2 or more non-profits and or businesses can use the same van at different points in the day.

  • Built on Safety & Trust. 

1. Community driven (Trusted Friends as Drivers) - Members of the community, people you know and trust can use the platform to provide ride sharing services. This also increases community engagement and builds a stronger community. Thus we can help people physically get out of their front door and easily into a mode of transit.

2. Real time ride tracking - Sociali allows parents/loved ones to see where the kids or seniors are during the ride for additional safety

3. Customizable control over who your ride request goes to - ride share only with people you are comfortable with.

Sociali is free and will enable :

1. Earn gift cards: Members to request and offer rides, from the community. We use Points (“Karma Points”) to keep score of rides. Giving rides earns Points, taking rides uses Points. We let users convert excess Points to real world gift cards, to incentivize people to offer rides.This is beneficial to the individuals and supports the community. Help and get helped, it is good Karma! This can help those community members that cannot afford a $3 transit fee.

2. New Income opportunity for the community - idle assets (cars, trucks) of the community can be put to use to generate income. Stay at home moms and other part time workers can generate new income.

  • Scalable

Sociali can be used by any community instantly. For businesses it can be deployed within hours in any city in the world.

Sociali can be integrated with the Metro Bus service to complement the service, and provide a seamless 'last mile' transport from the bus stop to home and home to bus stop. It can also fill in the gaps in the bus service routes.

Small / medium business “customer carpool”:

In this segment, we will enable members to carpool for their day to day activities such as groceries, after school kids activities, essentials shopping etc. The business will pay a small fee for operating expenses, while providing this service free to their customers as a major ‘perk’.

Benefits: reduce parking needs and congestion, happy customers and kids too, more customers and revenue for the business.

Community carpool: Members of the community, people you know and trust, can use the platform to provide ride sharing services. This also increases community engagement and builds a stronger community.

Our platform is built to support multiple types of users, businesses , schools and other organizations. 1. Business can use our platform to offer a carpool solution to their customers, immediately. 2. Any individual or parent can use our app to quickly create a local carpool group among friends or people they trust, and start carpooling to events and activities such as soccer games, birthday parties etc. 3. Companies can use our platform to offer a carpool solution for their employees. Employees can signup and carpool for free to work. 4. Businesses that provide transport services for seniors, special needs people, kids, or others, can use our platform to make their service more efficient, timely, green and increase safety via real time tracking. 5. School can use our platform to easily track the school bus/vans services and also enable parents to carpool to reduce the pickup/dropoff congestion and hassles.

We partnered with local businesses and communities and continue to expand in the local area. Parents love that they can quickly connect with others in the community and are able to ride with people they trust. Users like that they can create instant carpools with friends and love the ability to track rides in real time. Businesses appreciate that they can create secure and private carpools for their customers. We need to create awareness through co-marketing efforts across multiple channels.

We are 3 parents, who are the co-founders of the company We have a USA based and an offshore team for rapid development and tech support. We have kids ages 5-17 and through our app created comfortable journeys for families. We built a platform that is free to use, safe and secure, and can be launched instantly anywhere in minutes. It is built on Trust and driven by the community. We have the business and technical expertise to scale rapidly and add new capabilities to the platform.

Our solution is already in pilot phase, and available on app stores (iOS and Android). We are in the process of enhancing the user experience and adding new features. We plan to use the funds to add custom features, incorporate payments, and support local integration as needed. $20K for solution enhancements and customization. $40K for marketing and business development $40K for initial infrastructure , initial incentives and operating costs.

We plan to reach out to the local city council, communities, schools and businesses (“Sociali Partners”) to start using the platform as below. Sociali Partners can start in 3 steps: Create a custom carpool group for their customers. Inform Users to download the app, sign up and create/join the groups. Users can start carpooling by offering and requesting rides. It’s that simple. No integration is needed. We have already created the marketing materials and informational fliers that can be distributed immediately by the Partners. In addition to Partners, we can help businesses with our platform in 2 ways. 1. Members can carpool to / from work using the platform. 2. Members can carpool to/from local businesses such as groceries, senior facilities, hospitals , clinics, town centers and activity centers etc.

We can measure the success of our pilot in the following ways: 1. Key Metrics: Number of users on the platform, # of Partners (businesses, communities, schools etc), # of carpools created, # of rides requested and offered, # of car trips or miles reduced, 2. Net promoter score (NPS): reviews from the community to help understand NPS

The app is free to use. We use Points (“Karma Points”) to keep score of rides. Giving rides earns Points, taking rides uses Points. We let users convert excess Points to real world gift cards, to incentivize people to offer rides. A user short on points can purchase them from Sociali. We will take a cut of the Points to sustain our operating costs. We will collect data and usage information for improving the service, making relevant offers (Ads) and informing future deployments/scaling.
