Ecommerce profitability in developed regions is currently constrained by final-mile delivery expenses.  Costs for online retailers and logistics to put packages into the hands of consignees and/or manage parcel returns cost effectively and efficiently in that short but perilously complex ‘final mile’ between local warehouses and/or fulfillment centers and consignee addresses consume > 50% of total shipping costs, escalating exponentially on explosive growth

Insights from previous testing (500 characters)

Modified the induction system to allow 50 packages at once (in batch) for rapid delivery by parcel driver. This allows a 4 minute stop by the driver to deliver 50 packages. The robots perform the put-a-way after the driver leaves. This is a dramatic time improvement over a locker system, which requires 60-70 minutes for 50 packages.

Our success is measured in: 1. Reduction in delivery vehicle miles and stops 2. Increased security (reduction in porch piracy) 3. Efficiency (eliminate 2nd and 3rd delivery attempts) due to signature requirements 4. Labor savings. Our system is automated 5. Convenience - 24/7, pickup on you way home from work, or while out doing other tasks.

Sustainability Plan (500 characters)

We reduce driven miles and carbon emissions. Each of our units will take four delivery trucks off the road, and the corresponding reduction in fuel consumption, exhaust, road traffic, and noise.
