Click Clinician is a functioning app currently in Austin and San Antonio that has a network of 100 clinicians connected. Our app is very similar to Uber in the way that we use the Clinicians location in the field to be more efficient. Using our current model with a few tweaks could help people of color or immigrants to have access to health care professionals. Our network of clinicians could give rides to MD appointments or help with physical mobility issues.  Having access to professionals that live in and or close to these communities where the care/help is needed could be very valuable to our communities. People who are trained in healthcare but are also willing to give back to our communities using skills they have trained to use. So the city would have people who have been vetted and highly skilled to help with things like getting to MD appointments, home safety evaluations, and many other healthy activities by people who are trained to help.

Describe who will use your solution (1,000 characters)

Seniors, people of color, and immigrants. People who don't have access to transportation or healthy lifestyles. We also see our platform helping people in rural areas that have the same issues. People who have health conditions that need a trained professional to look in on them to make sure they are doing what their physician or health clinic has prescribed. A trained professional that knows how to work with people that are mobility impaired. A professional that could better identify if this person needs to be seen by a physician that could prevent the senior from being admitted to the hospital which is expensive.

Describe your solution's stage of development

Insights from previous testing (500 characters)

We have had a fairly good experience with our pilot. We have learned much about certain problems like login issues or the app keyboard not popping up. Insight has been it takes money to test and produce a product that is quality and never overbuild until you know it is you are trying to solve.

Rough budget (500 characters)

Since we have an app that is already working and has the capability to add users like RN's and CNA's. We would use 50k to tweak the app and add features for the Senior or Community member could access the network either via phone app or phone call. We would use 50k building out an easy onboarding process for community members to access as well as the trained professionals. Increase office staff for support.

Describe how you would pilot your idea (1000 characters)

We have a network of clinicians now, we would increase onboarding for a particular part of Austin that has a high need in this area and set the requirements to test. We would have our development team develop a user-friendly process for the community members the ability to schedule needed services. Our front office does a lot of scheduling now so we would use our knowledge to better sequence how members could schedule services.

Describe how you would measure the success of your pilot (1000 characters)

Backend metrics built into the app to collect data points that would gauge the user's experience as well as surveys from the providers of the service on how to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Sustainability Plan (500 characters)

I think it is worth trying to have a volunteer opportunity for healthcare professionals to give back in the communities that they live and also as a requirement for students that are going to school to become a Physical Therapist or a nurse to be volunteering with us to make sure they are in the right career field. I also think advertising could be a way to generate revenue, hospitals, clinics, grocery stores etc.
