Our solution aims at scanning all vehicles circulating in the city to detect the 3 types of pollution emitted by motorized vehicles : 

  1. Noise pollution

  2. Air pollution

  3. Visual pollution

Intelligent technologies embedded in bollards placed in strategic locations in the city enable to analyse each vehicle driving on the road.  Stampyt Connect detects noise level, gas emission quality level as well as  vehicle damage.

The analyzed data allows to make a comprehensive assessment on each vehicle on the possibilities of improvement.  Work advice are automatically sent to the owners (thanks to registration). The ultimate objective is to control the fleet of vehicles that circulates in our city and to reduce all the pollution emitted by these vehicles for a more pleasant city.

Describe who will use your solution (1,000 characters)

The city will be the user of Stampyt Connect bollards. It has all the data collected on the roads that will be used to inform all road users who own a vehicle. These owners are regularly and automatically informed about the trend of the condition of their vehicles (via a follow-up linked to their registration). The value perceived by vehicle owners lies in the free and automatic inventory of fixtures, which makes it possible to anticipate current and future problems on their vehicle. The city has better control over vehicles on the road and can offer automatic and concrete solutions to users.

Insights from previous testing (500 characters)

Stampyt Connect technology detects all vehicle damage with a high degree of accuracy. The tests were carried out in France on a sample of more than 1000 vehicles. Image capture works very well and the artificial intelligence used enables to perfectly manage the 360° imaging of the vehicle. These tests show the effectiveness of the device. We believe that it can be better leveraged with the development of additional technologies.

Stampyt is a French startup specialized in automotive photography. We are currently 20 employees working on new and ever-increasing challenges. The technical team wishes to take up even more innovative challenges to tap the full potential of current technologies. Rough budget (500 characters)

The $100K budget will be used to strengthen our technical team and to carry out a POC (Proof of Concept) with the new added technologies. 70% of the budget will be used to recruit 2 technical profiles dedicated to this project. 30% will be dedicated to the design of the final material and large-scale on-site testing.

Describe how you would pilot your idea (1000 characters)

First of all, we need to set the expected objectives on the quality of the measurements to be carried out in practice before studying the most efficient hardware solutions for sound detection and the analysis of the emitted gases to implement them on the existing bollards. Then we need to develop the analysis software solutions that will use the hardware as a capture tool. Our team will have to study the best technical solutions (AI or Software) to automate the summary of the assessment carried out from the analysis. Tests will be carried out to detect possible improvements and to correct any bugs that may occur. Finally, our team will have to test the finalized technologies on site in a real environment.

Describe how you would measure the success of your pilot (1000 characters)

The first success indicator is the percentage of complete scans passed in the actual test. We aim for a rate above 90%. The second indicator will be related to the quality of the measurements made on each vehicle. The figures related to gas emissions and decibels captured on each scan must be very precise. This indicator will need to be defined after the first tests.

Sustainability Plan (500 characters)

The large-scale POC will enable us to take advantage of all the data analysed during the pilot period to improve our artificial intelligence. The prototype developed through the initial investment will allow us to facilitate the development of bollards for the production of larger series to achieve mass deployment of our solutions. Our vision is in line with software performance with a pay-per-use subscription.
