Roundabouts and Mini-roundabouts

I propose that placing roundabouts is select areas of the city would help alleviate minor congestion sites.

From personal experience in other cities and towns that implement roundabouts, these structures always amazed me in their simplicity at the slow but never stopping flow of traffic at select intersections. Several sites, long with the U.S. Department of Transportation, state that roundabouts "provide substantial safety and operational benefits compared to other intersection types, most notably a reduction in severe crashes". Roundabouts are also environmentally friendly alternatives as you'd no longer sit and waste gas at red lights.

I agree.  They seem to work well where the inflows from each road are fairly equal.
