If you’ve ever been to Indiana, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of and felt “Hoosier Hospitality.” Hoosiers, the nickname for residents of Indiana, are known for their generosity and kindness, and “Hoosier Hospitality” is their spin on Midwestern values.
A vital part of “Hoosier Hospitality” is the ability to forge relationships with those around you, and these relationships are driven by the physical connections that bring people together. As the City of Indianapolis works to design a mobility network that creates better options for everyone, they are committed to reflecting these values of hospitality and connection.
We are excited to work with the City of Indianapolis for the 2019 City:One Challenge, as we strive to support the City’s vision for creating this transportation system. Collaborating with stakeholders in both the public and private sector, the City:One Indianapolis Challenge puts Indianapolis residents and travelers at the center of the conversation, as we collaborate to design and help create mobility solutions that address their unmet needs.
Because we believe great ideas come from everyone, we will hear from students, entrepreneurs, residents, community advocates, and anyone who may have an idea to try and improve how people move around Indianapolis. With our ecosystem of public and private supporters, we can take the best ideas and help them become a tangible reality.
As Indianapolis adopts new mobility solutions, your ideas, comments, and participation can support their efforts to help people make the connections and relationships that are the foundation of “Hoosier Hospitality.”
