Another Propose phase is in the books! On October 1, the application period for the City of Tomorrow: Grand Rapids Challenge closed, and our team had the chance to review all of the fantastic applications. Applications were evaluated by a Steering Committee with representatives from Mobile GR, Microsoft, Dell, AT&T, The Right Place, Planet M, and several tech and advocacy groups around Grand Rapids. Following their evaluations, the highest scoring applications were reviewed in more detail in a discussion that led to the selection of the 12 semi-finalists.
Here are Grand Rapids’ 12 semi-finalists:
- Eco-Rides USA
- Kaizen Health
- Papa Social Transportation
- Ride Amigos
- South Division Corridor Wayfinding System
- Tappy Guide
- Wheels to Work
Congratulations to all of the Grand Rapids semi-finalists, and thank you to all who applied and participated in the conversation.
You can still participate in the Miami-Dade and Grand Rapids Challenges by engaging the semi-finalists in the online community. Pittsburgh applications are currently being evaluated by the Steering Committee. All of your applications and your comments help us understand what ideas are out there.
Thank you all – we’re excited to continue the conversation and to see what the semi-finalists ultimately come up with!
